December 1: Statewide On-Road Bicycle Plan Phase II Meeting

November 16, 2016

The Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) is beginning Phase II of their On-Road Bicycle Plan, a planning effort to categorize State roads into high-, moderate- and low-use/priority corridors based on current and potential bicycle use. The Plan will assist VTrans in understanding where to focus limited resources towards bicycle improvements and allow better integration into VTrans projects and activities.

On December 1, 6 – 8 pm, VTrans is hosting a statewide meeting so the public can:

  • Learn about the statewide VTrans On-Road Bicycle Plan Phase II
  • Review identified bicycle safety hotspots
  • Learn about upcoming opportunities to provide feedback on what makes roads feel comfortable and to identify network gaps
  • Followed by Question and Answer period with VTrans staff and project team

The CCRPC is hosting at their office in Winooski, or you can find another location convenient to you.

The final report for Phase 1 can be accessed at this link:  http://vtrans.vermont.gov/planning/bike-plan/documents. Learn more at http://vtrans.vermont.gov/planning/bikeplan or contact Sommer Bucossi, 802-828-3884  or vermontbike@gmail.com.
